Are Faith and Religion Compatible

Source http://jezebel.com/5038902/are-faith-and-feminism-compatible
Purpose : The purpose of this source is to indicate the wrong side of religion regarding women. Religion took away the freedom in which women should be able to decide, such as abortion. The church would forbid abortion, even keeping the fetus can harmed the mom's life. This shows that religion is misleading their followers in the way they said many meaningful things, but sometimes it doesn't happened, for the fact that women didn't get the rights and freedom they deserved.
Values This source argue the women points of view and how they interpret religion. They had used many experience in which they had felt about religion , to support this source.
Limitation This source is based on women , in which they are bias to support their argument. It can also missed our many information that shows good side of religion.
Analysis : This source talk about the role of religion in feminists ' life that there are many religion and they all had different believes , but most religions come down on the wrong side of many of the policy issues of importance to feminist. One example of this is the abortion rights or the roles of women in the family. Women should have the right to decide future, not religion. Religion forbid women from abortion, even it could risk her life by keeping her baby.  According to the source, when it comes to faith, everyone has a personal journey and a personal decision, and that women have used religions and faith to argue against the existence of god and the wrongness of religion. Because it is a natural rights that everyone should be able to decide their personal journey and have personal decision, why should listen to religion if they didn't give women these rights, according to the source. The writer of the source , themselves , said : " Myself, I'm a very committed agnostic — so committed to agnosticism that I'm agnostic on the existence of God. I would like to believe in God and/or a religion, or even not believe in God entirely, because I feel like faith in one of those things would be easier than questioning all of them simultaneously." The author themselves did not support the idea of god because he/she think religion had led them to a wrong path.
